I have a tendency to “misplace” things in the garden while I am working. Trowels, knives, clippers, you name it and I have misplaced it. I eventually find them, but it’s irritating spending time looking for something I should have paid more attention to.
Garden twine is one of those things that I’ll look through the drawers in my garden shed, or the tool box with all my other garden tools in it only to find it in my garden beds from my last time there.
I was at a local antique store recently and saw a garden twine holder made from a terra cotta pot. I have a lot of terra cotta pots and knew these would be easy to make. All you need is a pot with a hole in the bottom, a terra cotta saucer and a ball of twine.
Be sure you choose a pot with a hole in the bottom, and a saucer that is large enough for the pot to sit in.
And you now have an attractive twine holder for your garden shed. Hopefully, I’ll remember to put it back there when I’m finished. You could use any pot and saucer to create an attractive holder for your garden twine.
Dreaming of spring!
