Christmas Display Using Flea Market Finds

I cleaned up my office and redecorated to get me in the mood for a New Year of moving toward my goal of creating my dream business. (More about that later) I like to be surrounded by the things I love.

I gathered up some of my favorite things to create a display on my cabinet.  An old tire wheel, a little children’s tin, a child’s shoe shine tote, an old frame with chicken wire, and a picture of my mom and her sister when they were little.  This picture holds a special place in my heart.  Raised in the Depression, my mom told stories not only of hard times, but fun times with her sister and friends.  My mom is 87, living with Parkinson’s in an Assisted Living Facility, and my aunt Barbara, now 90, is on Hospice.  I love these two women, and want them to have a place where I can see them often.

When creating a display, vary heights, pair like colors, and use odd numbers of objects such as 3, 5, 7, etc.

Since it was Christmas, I added the little wreath to the bicycle wheel.

Flea market finds can easily be used in your Christmas décor, and things that mean the most to you, should be left out where they can be enjoyed all year long.
