The Herb Garden in Spring

As I was driving home this afternoon, I was struck by how pretty all the yards were. It has been raining for over a week, and as a result, green is everywhere!

Today, after yet another rain which has brought us over 5 inches in the last couple of days, there was finally a break for at least a couple of hours. I went out to take a look at the flooded yard, and to check on by bees.

Everything in the herb garden is so green, and what was just brown, dead, leaves a month ago, has now grown into healthy, beautiful plants once again.

I still have enough space to add basil, sage, chamomile, and calendula when the rain is over.
