It’s fall and that means pumpkins! Pumpkin patches, pumpkin festivals, and pumpkins at the nursery and grocery store. We all know pumpkins are great for carving, but with all of the choices available, which is the best choice for creating all those great recipes that are pumpkin inspired? If you want to make a recipe using pumpkin, don’t reach for the pumpkin pie filling. Pumpkin pie filling is usually a mixture of squashes such as Hubbard, or Boston Marrow.
For cooking, the best pumpkins to look for are pumpkins with these great names: Baby Bear, Cinderella, Fairytale, and Sugar Pie.
