Fall BlogHop

I was sitting on my back deck early in the morning a few days ago. I have to go out early, or by 9:00 the humidity and heat will run you back in to the air conditioner. A breeze was blowing and as I enjoyed my morning coffee I noticed the leaves were falling from the River Birch Trees. What? It sure doesn’t feel like fall outside, But, if you go to any craft store now, not only is the fall merchandise marked 1/2 off, but they are putting out Christmas decorations. Hold up! I’m not ready!

I’m participating in a Fall Blog Hop with a great group of Bloggers, so I’m glad the fall decorations are out, and available for me to create a few decorations from what I already have. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to bring the fall to your home and garden, just a few cans of spray paint, and craft store finds, and you have a whole new look for the season.

I’ve had these two rusty graters in my craft room for a while, and got the idea they would make a great vase for  fall flowers.  While at Michaels, I picked up these flowers, and magnets.  (All on sale of course.)  The result is a simple, inexpensive, and one of a kind fall vase.  You could add an LED candle underneath to provide a lantern for your deck or porch.

Next, I have a LOT of galvanized buckets.  I can’t resist them when they are inexpensive at local Flea Markets.  A can of orange paint, and pinecones from the yard, add a touch of fall beside my porch.  My little dump truck holds a pumpkin which can be turned around at Halloween, since it is a carved pumpkin on the other side.

My black bicycle underneath the pine tree changes with the season, and this fall Welcome Plaque, will change when Christmas rolls around.

I love the new spray paint which adheres to plastic.  These inexpensive Adirondack chairs can be spray painted any color to match your décor or the seasons.

Chocolate brown paint, and a Walmart pillow, give you a totally new look.

And finally, this child’s garden boot takes on a new life as a fall decoration.

It may be 90 degrees outside, but the craft stores say it’s fall!   You better start on your decorations before all the supplies are gone!

Happy Fall Ya’ll.  Head on over to the fall blog hop and see how 7 great bloggers plan, celebrate, and decorate for the fall!
