Bath Salts Christmas Ornaments

I was in Michael’s Craft Store a few days ago and saw these clear  Christmas ornaments.  I am going to a Christmas craft show this weekend, and needed some “quick and easy” additions to the other products I am taking.  They were perfect for creating some Bath Salts Christmas Ornaments, and would make great stocking stuffers, teacher’s and Secret Santa gifts.

Bath Salt Ornaments

I already had the ingredients I needed at home.  You can buy “bath salts” but I chose to use Epsom salts and sea salt.  Salts can be a little drying to your skin, so I added baking soda, and coconut oil.  I also found some dried milk I had used for a milk bath recipe, and threw some of that in!  Here’s the basic recipe. You can use sweet almond or jojoba oil if have that, too.

Bath Salt Ingredients

BATH SALTS RECIPE

1 cup Epsom salts

1 cup sea salt

2 Tablespoons Baking Soda

1 Tablespoon coconut oil (fractioned, because it’s liquid)

1-2 Tablespoons powdered milk (optional)

I added lavender buds and lavender essential oil for a lavender salt

I added red mica for the peppermint salts, (you could use a little red food coloring), and peppermint essential oil

For the last scent, I added a few drops of green food coloring, and vanilla essential oil.

After mixing the three separate scents, I used a rubber funnel to pour the salts into the ornament.

I love the way these turned out, and hopefully they will be a big hit at the craft show.  If not,  I know some people who will be getting bath salts in their stockings!

These won’t make it to my Etsy shop, but you can check out my other products here:  www.Gardenchick.etsy.com.

Be sure and pin for later and share with your friends.
