We took a drive up to Elijay, Georgia yesterday to buy apples. It’s a fall ritual, and we brought back apples, apple pies, apple butter, and sweet pepper and apple relish. The orchards of Elijay bring visitors from all over the country, and the apple barns are packed to the brim with apples and people. But, it’s not only the apples that draw the people, the fall trees are just as popular. Located in the mountains of North Georgia, the colors of the leaves are breathtaking on the ride up. If you have never been, the trip is worth it for a fall get-away.
